16th Venezia in Musica International Choir Festival & Competition

   
Venice, Italy 28 April - 02 May 2018
This will be the 16th time we will meet in this beatiful place!   Choirs can register in categories such as Mixed, Male and Female Choirs, with or without requirements, Children and Youth Choirs, Musica Sacra and Folklore. Choirs that choose to participate to the event without competing may take part in other educational festival activities as well: Evaluation Performance, Individual Coaching and 'Meeting in Music' concerts. Choirs can also take part in Friendship Concerts ONLY.   Deadline for registration: January 30, 2018 Early bird deadline: November 30, 2017

IV International Festival-Contest of Children and Youth «Cannes Young Stars »

Cannes, France, Europe 29 April - 06 May 2018
Salute to Talents International Project was established in 2008. Salute to Talents is the system of prestigious international festivals-contests for children and youth combined with extensive excursion program. During 2016-2017 academic year (festival season) a range of festivals-contests is held in various cities all around the world. The Super Final of the festival season will be held in October 2017 in Saint-Petersburg. The 1st degree Laureates at any of the festivals-contests, held during the festival season 2016-2017 in the framework of the Salute to Talents project, are allowed to take part in Super Final.   Nominations: 1. Instrumental art: Folk; Classical; Pop; Jazz 2. Vocal art: Folk; Academic; Pop; Vocal and Instrumental Ensemble 3. Choreography: Folk dance; Classical dance; Pop dance (including folk stylization); Modern dance; Ballroom dancing 4. Theatre: Art of declamation; Drama theatre; Musical; Mimics and Gesture theatre; Fashion performance; Puppet-show 5. The original genre 6. Fine art: Painting and graphics; Photo; Craftworks   Group categories of participants: • Soloists • Small Groups (2-3 participants) • Ensembles • Choirs (vocal groups over 12 people) • Orchestras (instrumental ensembles of more than 8 people)   Age categories of members: • Pre-School age group – up 7 years • Junior age group – 7-10 years • Middle age group – 11-13 years • Senior age group – 14 -18 years • Mixed junior age group – average age of 12 years or less • Mixed senior age group – average age of over 13 years • Adult age group – over 18 years   The rules of participation: Participation in the festival-contest means participation in one nomination, one age category, and one group category. In the frames of one participation ensembles, choirs and orchestras present a program of two different items (acts), lasting not more than 4 minutes each. In the nominations “Theatre” and “Instrumental art” (ensembles and orchestras) it is allowed to present only one item lasting not more than 10 minutes. Soloists and small groups present a program of one item lasting not more than 5 minutes. In the nomination “Instrumental art” soloists and small groups may present two items lasting not more than 5 minutes together. If the participants exceed the time limit, jury is entitled to stop the performance and disqualify the participants. Rehearsals and performances are held strictly in accordance with the schedule provided by the art-manager of the festival-contest. Changes to the concert program are accepted by written notification of the art-manager of the festival not later than 21 day before the beginning of the festival tour. Participation in the “Fine art” nomination is held in the form of exhibition, which takes place during the festival-contest. In the frames of one participation it is possible to present 1 or 2 works (all works should be signed), the size of the works (the base area of craftwork) should be 50x70 sm or less. In case of using the sound recordings the participants should send them to the art-manager of the festival by e-mail and also bring it on a flash drive or CD (each track on separate CD). All the technical and musical equipment which is necessary (technical rider) should be indicated in the Request.   Jury of the Festival: The jury of the festival-contest is composed of well-known actors, teachers of art disciplines, directors, leaders of art groups, culture and art figures, public figures. The list of jury members is not announced before the day of the festival. At the end of the festival teachers have the opportunity to discuss with the jury members all the performances and exchange their opinions. All the performances are estimated by generally accepted criteria: technical skills (according to nomination), artistry, the complexity of the repertoire (program), the creation of artistic character etc., according to the subjective jury’s opinions.   Prizes and awards: All the participants receive souvenirs. In each nomination, age and group category the participants get the titles of I, II, III degree Laureates, as well as the title of Diplomant. Laureates are awarded with diplomas and cups. Diplomants are awarded with diplomas only. The jury also chooses the winner of Grand Prix from one of the 1st degree Laureates. Owner of the Grand Prix has an opportunity to participate in one of the festivals-contests of the Salute to Talents Project in the same nomination during the festival season without participation fee. Special diplomas which are issued if the jury decides that there are distinguished participants, are: “The best Choreographer”, “The best accompanist”, “The best choirmaster”, “The best Director”, “The best costume”, “The most artistic participant”, “The Youngest participant”, “Best fine art work”. Teachers, directors and accompanists will get official letters of gratefulness and certificates confirming that they attended a round table discussion.     Program ? 1 (Cannes. Economy, 8 days) Brest – Warsaw - Prague – Venice – Cannes – Milan – Vienna – Brest 2 overnight travels 1st day. 29th April 2018. Brest - Warsaw Arriving to Brest (arrival time recommended is before 6 am). Receiving the group with the guide at a railway station. Boarding the bus, departure before 6 am, Belarusian-Polish border crossing. Transfer to Warsaw (about 200 km). • Walking tour around Old Town: you will see the beautiful and cozy center of Old Town, Warsaw's Castle Square, Royal Castle, St. John's Archcathedral, Old Town Market Place, Mermaid – the symbol of Warsaw. The transit through the territory of Poland. The transfer for accommodation at the overnight location to the hotel close to the Polish-Czech border (about 470 km). Night at the hotel. 2nd day. 30th April 2018. Prague Breakfast. Transfer to Prague (about 150 km). Arriving to Prague. • Sightseeing trip around Prague: you will walk around Malá Strana, Charles Bridge and the sightseeing of Prague Castle; you will see the residences of all Czech governors and modern heads of State. Also you will see the spiritual symbol of the country - The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Vitus that had been constructed for 6 centuries, a legendary Golden Lane alluring guests with its mysteries, splendid St. George's Basilica and many interesting places. Finally you will see a Jewish quarter, Old Town Square City Hall with well-known Prague astronomical clock, Wenceslas Square. Free time. Departure from Plague in the evening. Overnight travel to Venice (about 800 km).   3rd day. 1st May 2018. Venice.   Arriving to Venice. Boat transfer to St Mark's Square*.   Walking tour around the city: You will walk around the narrow streets and romantic squares of Venice, you will see the Patriarchal Cathedral Basilica of Saint Mark, the Bridge of Sighs, the Rialto Bridge, the Doge's Palace and labyrinths of waterways. The transfer for accommodation at the overnight location to the hotel on the territory of Italy (about 250 km). Night at the hotel.   4th day. 2nd May 2018. Cannes Breakfast. Transfer to Cannes (about 350 km). • Sightseeing trip around Cannes: you will see world-known Palace of Festivals and Conferences where the Cannes Festival has been held for 70 years, “Avenue of stars” that offers a unique chance to touch your cinema icons’ bronze palm imprints, market Fortville that is well-known for a rich assortment of flowers, spices and excellent natural products, Old Port, the most beautiful post in the city, and a famous Promenade de la Croisette, a prominent road in Cannes. Free time for shopping, walks or extra excursions. Night at the hotel. 5th day. 3rd May 2018. Festival day. Breakfast Festival day Transfer to the festival   • Rehearsal • The opening of the Festival-Contest • Performances • Workshops • Gala-concert and Awards ceremony. Diploma and cup awarding • Panel discussion for jury members, directors and educators. • Disco At the end of the day children and educators will get souvenirs, directors and educators will also get appreciation letters and panel discussion participation certificates that can be used to obtain advances training grant for educators. Lunch during the festival day. Transfer to the hotel. 6th day. 4th May 2018. Cannes - ?ilan Breakfast. Departure from Cannes to Milan (about 330 km). • Sightseeing walking tour around Milan: you will see the House of Sforza, Milan Cathedral, the symbol of the city, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, opera house La Scalla, Holy Mary of Grace church and Simplon Park. Free time. Departure time from Milan in the evening. Overnight travel to Vienna (about 850 km).   7th day. 5th May 2018. Vienna Arriving to Vienna. • Sightseeing bus and walking tour around the city: you will see the main sightseeing of Vienna - the Ring Road, Maria Theresa Square, Vienna Opera House, City Hall, Carinthian Street, St. Stephen's Cathedral and Square. The transfer for accommodation at the overnight location to the hotel on the territory of the Czech Republic/Poland (about 250 km). Night at the hotel.   8th day. 6th May 2018. Transit through Poland to Brest. Breakfast. Transit through Czech Republic and Poland (about 700 km). Polish-Belarusian border crossing.   Arriving to Brest before 3 am. For Moscow: boarding to the night train to Moscow, arriving to Moscow in the evening. For Saint-Petersburg: a transit accommodation in Brest with breakfast at extra cost is possible. 2 pm – train boarding to Saint-Petersburg. Notes: the organizers reserve the right to cross Polish-Belarusian border by the suburban train Brest - Tiraspol in order to avoid long hours in queues which takes place on Polish-Belarusian border. 14th International Choir Competition and Festival Bad Ischl

This international choir competition to be held in the midst of the picturesque landscape of the Salzkammergut, has become one of the most important and most beautiful choral events in Austria by now. International and renowned jurors and choral experts will evaluate the vocal performances and help the choirs with words and deeds during the Evaluation Performances. Apart from the competitions in the Kongresshaus, the event also includes Gala Concerts, international Friendship Concerts as well as performances during masses. What is more, the international choir parade throughout the center of this Austrian spa is one of the top highlights of the event.

During 2016-2017 academic year (festival season) a range of festivals-contests is held in various cities all around the world.   Day 1 – 02.05 Arrival in Rome. Meeting at Fiumicino airport**. Transfer to the centre of Rome. City tour of Rome: San Pietro Square and Basilika, the Coliseum, the Capitol, the Trevi Fountain, etc.   Check-in at the hotel out of town.   Day 2 – 03.05. Festival day Breakfast Transfer to the concert hall Rehearsals. Opening of the Festival-Contest. Competitive performance. Round table for jurors and teachers. Gala concert and award ceremony. Handing out of diplomas and Winners Cups to the participants. At the end of the festival day all kids and teachers will get souvenirs. Belgrade Choir fest

Belgrade International Choir Fest is dedicated to mixed choirs, female and male choirs. Age of participants is 16+. There is no limit to the number of singers. The organizers maintain the right to limit the number of choirs if too many apply. Choirs will have the opportunity to present themselves to the audience during the two festival days. At the closing ceremony, each choir will perform one composition of their own choice, and all the choirs together will perform a composition chosen by the organizers, for which the arrangements will be provided by the festival organization. The program of each participating choir should not be longer than 30 minutes and it is desirable to perform in their repertoire one composition from their country of origin. The repertoire of choirs can include secular, sacred compositions of contemporary and old composers. At the closing ceremony of the festival each choir will have the opportunity to present the program up to 10 minutes and at the end of the concert all choirs together will perform a composition chosen by the organizers – “Festival Hymn”.
