Collection during the 6th EUROPA CANTAT junior festival 2011 in Pärnu

The atelier of Aarne Saluveer performed a very beautiful song about money at the 6th EUROPA CANTAT junior festival. In connection to that Aarne introduced the "Friends of Choral Music in Europe" and some girls of the choirs collected 144,30 EUR from the audience during the song.

Charity Concert for the "Friends of Choral Music in Europe"

In a first fundraising concert for the association on March 19th, the Schedrik Girls' Choir with Irina Brochin and the Junger Chor Aachen with Fritz ter Wey presented a colourful programme in the Lutherkirche in Bonn. Further fundraising concerts and other fundraising activities will be organised soon.

"Friends of Choral Music in Europe" has been founded!

On March 19th 2011 the Association "Friends of Choral Music in Europe" has been founded and welcomed with a fundraising concert. The purpose of the association is the promotion of intercultural dialogue and of arts and culture, especially of choral music by giving moral and financial support to the European Choral Association – Europa Cantat.

 Jeroen Schrijner (NL), former President of Europa Cantat, is the chair of the association, Markus Schuck (DE), initiator of the Bonner Schumannfest, was appointed deputy chair and Jean Smeets (BE) became its treasurer. Further Board members will be appointed soon.
