First Bonn performance of Poverty Requiem

On June 20th 2010 several choirs from Bonn and the surrounding region performed the Poverty Requiem by Peter Maissan, conducted by the composer himself. It was the first performance of the Requiem in Bonn, organised by the choir of the Collegium musicum of the University of Bonn in cooperation with Europa Cantat. The performance took place in the frame of the vocal festival CANTABOnn (see www.cantabonn.de) and was planned to be organised on an open-air space near the train station, but had to be sung in the Aula of the university in the end, due to bad weather.
